Didier Graffet is a French illustrator born in 1970 which has a unique sensibility in architecture, design and painting. Most of his work gravitates towards science fiction and explores diverse mythologies.
In my opinion, Didier Graffet has a fantastic approach on future-steampunk worlds, sometimes close to what we can see on The Fifth Element (by Luc Besson). He excels in threatening skies, putting tension into a scene and has a great sense of details.
